The Peres River (Wadi)
Service Description
his trek explores the southern Judean Desert, an area of striking contrasts. In winter, the desert comes alive with beautiful waterholes, where seasonal streams fill natural pools, creating stunning oases in the otherwise arid landscape. These spots are perfect for a short rest, photography, or simply enjoying the serene desert atmosphere. The trail also leads to Mamshit, an ancient Nabatean city and UNESCO World Heritage site. Mamshit was a thriving caravan stop along the Incense Route, featuring well-preserved streets, plazas, and impressive ruins of homes, public buildings, and water systems. Walking through Mamshit offers a glimpse into the ingenuity of desert settlements and the life of the Nabateans who once inhabited this harsh, yet mesmerizing region. This route combines natural beauty and historical richness, making it a memorable journey through the Judean Desert.
